How to get units in Beat the Anime Boss is not a gacha-only story. Fun and Giggles Games published a loop: defeat anime-inspired bosses, collect their units, upgrade those units, level a Summoner for better rolls, and hunt rare MUTATED copies. This page is the how-to-get write-up for that loop. It lives under guides on purpose. There is no separate /players/how-to-get-units/ URL. Roster jobs after you own a body sit on the units hub. Binds sit on controls.

The experience launched on 14 July 2026 as a live simulation tycoon on 8-player Roblox servers. A unit you never recruited cannot fight, cannot print $/s, and cannot earn while you are offline. Getting the body onto the plot is step one. Feeding it is step two. Rolling is step three. Players invert that order and then search for a secret fourth spawn method. There is not one we can print.

Three ways a unit actually enters the plot

1. Boss drop plus the recruit prompt. You beat a boss (or walk up to a standing prompt) and press E on E RECRUIT!. This is the onboarding and it never stops being valid. Promo art still shows a grinning avatar slamming that prompt at a Limitless-style sorcerer tagged 1,000,000$/s. The number is the fantasy ceiling. The key is the mechanic.

2. Summoner rolls. After the farm prints, you level the Summoner for better rolls and spend surplus. This is how you hunt archetypes you did not just knock over. It is not how you skip a dead plot. Read the Summoner guide before you dump the first bag.

3. Mutations on a unit you already understand. A mutated copy is still a unit you got. Official rarity text is 1 IN ???. Insane boosts are the published pitch. You do not vendor the glow because the hair is wrong. Process is on mutations; keepers are on mutated units.

Walk-up recruits still count when you are also rolling. Paying for a Summoner pull while ignoring a free E prompt on the floor is the joke the promo art is already making.

Beat the boss, then press E

Combat in this title is a gate. You fight so a prompt can exist. You do not fight so you can combo a winged raid boss with your avatar’s fists all session. If a health bar will not move, that is an income problem. Open how to beat bosses instead of standing in the interact volume hoping the key changes.

When the boss falls:

1. Frame the body with the camera. On PC that is mouse look; on mobile, rotate until the billboard is readable.
2. Walk into E RECRUIT!. If the HUD is quiet, strafe. Models without prompts are decorations.
3. Press E (or tap the on-screen recruit button). Confirm the unit is on the plot, not stuck in a menu thumbnail.
4. Place it where it can fight and print. An unplaced recruit is an inventory sticker.

Deku-like starters, sitting Lv.1 Saiyan-style bodies, and other commons are correct first grabs. Do not walk past them hunting a Super Saiyan Blue silhouette you have not unlocked. A placed common you can feed beats an empty slot you are saving for a screenshot.

Raid nights drop more bodies on the floor, not a different recruit key. If the live title still prefixes RAIDS, skim raids so you are not learning E in front of the winged boss. Admin Abuse nights are the same rule with more noise — Admin Abuse.

Do not skip upgrades

The published order puts upgrades before Summoner on purpose. A new unit at Lv.1 is a seed. Official art of the same Saiyan-style body at Lv.99 and Level ??? is a fed farm, not a different character you were supposed to roll instead.

Skipping upgrades looks like this:

• You recruit, then immediately open the Summoner.
• You keep a pretty unmutated trophy unplaced while a sitting starter prints nothing.
• You sell the only fighter because a 1 IN ??? Hokage-style model walked by, then you cannot afford to feed the new one.

Buy levels until $/s is visibly moving. The upgrade planner is the brake when the next purchase feels expensive. The beginner tier list is the first-hour keep list so you stop rerolling a body that only needed cash.

Codes will not replace this step. The Roblox description listed none as of September 2026. If a drop lands, redeem it on how to redeem codes and spend the gift on income, not on a second panic roll.

When the Summoner is a get-unit tool

Use the Summoner when three things are true:

• The current farm has a ceiling you can feel in $/s.
• You can buy Summoner levels without pausing overnight income.
• You have a plan for a mutation if one lands.

Then roll in a batch you can actually upgrade. A Limitless-style sorcerer you cannot feed is a museum piece. A One Punch-style burst unit you cannot park overnight is a raid costume. Rank wants on best units after the pull, not during the animation.

We will not invent a pity counter or a banner calendar. Anyone quoting exact odds is guessing unless Fun and Giggles Games posts them. The published lever is Summoner level. Spend surplus on that lever. Do not spend rent.

Mutations are how a unit you have becomes the unit you wanted

Hunting mutations is still “how to get units.” The base has to exist first. Mutating a jobless Deku-like filler because you are bored is how bags disappear. Mutating a Hokage-style farm, a Limitless sorcerer ceiling, or a fed Saiyan / SSJ Blue line is how leaderboards move.

Keep rules after a glow:

• If it is mutated and it already earns, it is the account. Feed it. Park it.
• If it is mutated and the archetype is mid, still keep it until a mutated replacement exists. Boosts outrun hair.
• If it is unmutated and pretty, it is a bench body unless it is your only farm.

The mutated tier list grades copies. This page only needs you to stop treating the glow as a screenshot and start treating it as a recruit that already succeeded.

Archetypes you can name without fake IDs

Official art, not a datamined sheet:

• Saiyan line (Lv.1 sit, Lv.99 gold, Level ??? white aura)
• SSJ Blue
• Hokage-style (the 1 IN ??? thumbnail)
• Limitless sorcerer (the 1,000,000$/s recruit tag)
• One Punch
• Deku-like starters
• Winged raid boss (the fight you build toward, not a starter you press E on in minute one)

Chat will assign show names. This wiki will not. Match the model to the panel, then decide with the units hub and best units. If Fun and Giggles Games later prints a name sheet, those rows get real labels.

A get-units session

1. Confirm binds on controls so you can actually hit E on PC or tap it on mobile.
2. Take every standing prompt. Never walk past E RECRUIT! on the way to the Summoner.
3. Feed the body you just got until the ticker moves.
4. Kill the next boss your farm can finish. Recruit again.
5. Only then roll, and only with surplus.
6. If a mutation lands, keep it and reread mutations before you overwrite it.
7. Log out on a placed, fed unit. Getting units does not pay overnight. Placed units do — offline earnings.
